Raises over $370,000 in First Four Months

January, 10, 2006

Hudson, N.Y. - Kirsten Gillibrand, candidate running for U.S. House in the 20th Congressional District, has had a remarkable fundraising start.  Gillibrand has raised $249,035 in last three months, bringing the four-month fundraising total of the campaign up to $370,680.  This amount is more than any Democrat has ever raised for an entire campaign cycle for the 20th Congressional District.  For Federal Election Commission purposes, December 31st marks the end of the fourth quarter.

"I am very, very pleased with the response the campaign has received so far.  The people of this district and across the state are hungry for new leadership and have a true desire for change.  I look forward to this race ahead, and together we bring new ideas, a fresh perspective, and a real change in representation the people in this district are asking for," said Gillibrand.

A formal announcement from Gillibrand is expected sometime later this month.
